This sighting felt like magic. To me wildebeests are itself mystic creatures. What do you think of them? Local legends say that its front legs originated from an ox, its back legs from an antelope and its tale and mane from horse. Besides their powerful and beautiful looks, their behavior is impressive too. Think for instance of the massive migrations. But also, this specific moment; as the wildebeest created a special effect by itself. Dusty like smoke. Unforgettable! By the way wildebeests are often seen in groups and with other species. But did you know that they specifically have a special symbiotic relationship with zebras? Zebras feed on the long tough grasses on the plains, while the wildebeests feed on the shorter grasses. In addition, Zebras have a great memory which help them recall safe migration routes, which comes in hand for directing the sometimes-aimless wildebeests. Wildebeests on the other hand have a fantastic sense of smell and can detect water even in dry savannas.
