OSTRICH 

Sometimes you may see one of the female ostriches, or the male ostrich [as also incubates the eggs], sitting on their nest- a shallow hollow area dug into the earth, with outstretched wings. They are offering shade and preventing the keeping their eggs cool from the fierce African sun. -male ostrich protecting his chicks from the blazing sun.
