  Lions seem quite lazy because they can sleep up to 20 hours per day, lionesses also rest/nap/sleep a long time [can be up to 16 hours pe3r day] but before lambasting them as very lazy creatures, please remember why they do this. They need to do this as they have large body mass and moving that big body with heavy muscle, takes a lot of energy and effort—especially in the midday heat. Also they are true carnivores and meat takes a long time to digest….
