A day knowledge

Wild lions do have a growing problem. A really big one. Due to them now forced into a small fragment of their historic hunting grounds, thanks to hunting, persecution and habitat loss, what was once a 'no-no' is now happening.  Inbreeding.  The fewer lions we see have resulted in a depleted gene pool -- thereby, creating a weaker lion -- which we still believe is not possible... Their wonderful diversity, their large gene pool once naturally available, is no longer there. Our general population does not yet notice their slow destruction. They do not see it.  Oh, but they will.        @www.entawuoexpeditions.com
Culture name TANZANIAN Orientation Identification. It said that the mainland portion of what is now named Tanzania was named by a British civil servant in 1920 from the Swahili words tanga (sail) and nyika (bright arid plain). Thus what was known formerly as German East Africa became Tanganyika territory. In 1964, Tanganyika was joined with Zanzibar, an offshore archipelago of islands, to form the present United republic of Tanzania. Because of the unique combination of historic and culture factors, Tanzania share strong feelings of national pride and cohesion. This sense of nationalism has served to keep the country at peace for over two decades, while most of its neighbors have been involved intermittently in catastrophically destructive civil and cross border wars. Tanzanians have been able to resolve most internal problems without resorting to violence because of a shared language, the lack of political or economic dominance by any ethnic group, and the strong leaders...

Lions seem quite lazy because they can sleep up to 20 hours per day, lionesses also rest/nap/sleep a long time [can be up to 16 hours pe3r day] but before lambasting them as very lazy creatures, please remember why they do this. They need to do this as they have large body mass and moving that big body with heavy muscle, takes a lot of energy and effort—especially in the midday heat. Also they are true carnivores and meat takes a long time to digest…. And they diet is 99.99999% raw meat. www.entawuoexpedition.com #africa #tanzania #serengeti #bigcats #lions #lioness #travel #explore #adventure #holiday #safari #seeafrica #natgeo #ngu #mangokiliadventures #photo #earthpix #photography #photooftheday #bbc #bbcearth #bbctravel #travelphotography #instatravel #wild #wildafrica #tourism #africadestination #amaizingtanzania #traveladdict
